Cartoon Network will premiere the new animated series Class of 3000,
created/executive produced by André "3000" Benjamin, aka a member of
the band OutKast, and Tom Lynch, on Friday, November 3, at 8p.
Beginning at 7p and leading into the show's premiere that night, the
network will air a special music event from the Fox Theater in Atlanta,
which promises special guest performances. Class of 3000 revolves
around a music star who gives up everything to teach a group of gifted
music students in Atlanta. In addition lending his voice to the lead
characters, Sunny Bridges, each episode will include an animated music
video, featuring a new song from Benjamin, who also wrote and performs
that show's theme song. Cartoon Network also plans to promote the
series debut with a mockumentary titled, Sunny Bridges: From Bankhead
to Buckhead, which will air October 27, at 7p. Class of 3000 is
produced by Cartoon Network in conjunction with Tom Lynch Co. and Andre
Benjamin's company, Moxie
